Last mermay week with @nadiarausa‘s weekly prompts, this time “Crown of the sea” and “deep sea grave”.
So, the best prompts to end this challenge with a vaguely ominous giant oarfish.
The children of the merfolk knew very well that the deepest pit of the sea was forbidden ground. A creature was said to dwell in those black waters, guarding the entrance to the land of the dead. He was kind and he had a soft voice it was told, but he spoke to the travelers in riddles that had never been solved, and those who tried never showed up to the surface again. Time and fear made the merfolk curse his presence but although his name was long lost, no one truly forgot of the one who lives under the ground, the one who knows each name and life, and lazily waves his tail in the dark like the motion of a merciless pendulum.
y’all are like “lol im a communist guillotine the rich silence brand!!” and then make five posts about how iconique beyonce is for owning twelve cars or smth
Sorry but when Keanu Reeves is out here doing The Most, giving away the majority of his money to the point where he just lives in a normal house with normal stuff because he understands that he doesn’t need all of that money then how do you expect me to look at other famous people no matter how fun or nice they act and see them keeping the majority of that money and having multiple homes and outfits made out of diamonds and shit and say “its fine bc theyre nice/feminist/its in the name of Girl Power/etc”? No one should have any of that while other humans are out here dying of poverty. No excuse I don’t care who it is.
Here’s a cute vintage lesbian couple inspired by Thurstons Hopkins’ photo “Tango in East End”. Not sure the people on the photo are a couple but in my remake they are ! 👩❤️💋👩
I’ll make a little series of vintage couples (women mostly, probably) inspired by images I find on the internet.
I decided to do this series to help me draw and post more images without having to think too much about it. Everything I post I spend as much time planning as I spend drawing. I think about the subject I want to talk about, how I want to talk about, what images, what words, etc… This process doesn’t allow me to post very often. So I thought this exercise could be a fun way to change my habits !
